Mario Sorrenti

World famous photographer Mario Sorrenti produced the fashion shoot with Sasha at Pier 69 in New York City.

Sorrenti started documenting his life through photography at the age of 18, always strongly believing in his images and standing strong against compromising in the commercial world which are traits often criticized. It enabled him to have a diverse carert both working with people that truly believe in his work and positioning himself in a group of contemporary photographers that will be remembered for their truly personal and recognizable style for years to come.

Sorrenti has been a big name in the fashion world for many years. He established his reputation early in the 1990s by launching the career of his then girlfriend, supermodel Kate Moss, who appears on the cover of this issue of the magazine.

Sorrenti's brother, Davide, was born on July 9, 1976, and died of complications stemming from his blood disorder on Feb. 4, 1997. Sorrenti movingly documented his brother's suffering over the course of one night, like so many others, while Davide was hooked up to a drug infusion pump referred to by the famly simply as "the machine". Sorrenti produced a book of pictured titled "The Machine".

Aaron De Mey is among the fashion world's leading hair and makeup artists. He worked with Sasha during her fashion shoot with Mario Sorrenti.
