Q&A
on the Olympics
What
was it like speaking to President Bush at the Opening Ceremonies
of the 2002 Winter Games?
Very exciting and unbelievable. One of the highlights of
the Olympics. |
What
was it like stepping onto the ice at Sale Lake Ice Center before
a crowd of thousands of people?
Very nerve-racking, but I just focused and tried my best
throughout both programs. |
What
does it take to become one of the best skaters in the world?
Dedication, perseverance, desire, determination and will
power. Not to mention a good attitude. |
What
did you do in Salt Lake city for fun?
I shopped and had three manicures. |
Did
you have a chance to meet other Olympic athletes and build new
friendships?
Definitely. I made friends with the bob sled team, ski jumpers,
and even speed skaters. We are really supportive of each other. |
How
did you feel walking with all of the other athletes during the
closing Ceremonies?
Really happy and sad it was all over. I almost couldn't believe
it, though I had a great time and learned a lot. |
