MOONDANCE ALEXANDER is a family drama filmed in Alberta, Canada.

Don Johnson, well-known for his role in the 1980s police drama Miami Vice, plays an ex-horse show rider who mentors a young girl named Moondance Alexander and trains her for a competition. Moondance rides a pinto horse named Checkers at a time when pintos were not accepted in equestrian circles.
